Digital Transformation Consultant (Senior) - Utrecht

On hold

This company is the parent company for multiple technical wholesalers in Europe. As the European market leader in solar, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, they are playing an essential role in the energy transition all across the continent. However, while they keep their eye on the future and continuously expand their services, they are still a family-owned company and have been around for over 100 years. They have subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Norway, Poland and Belgium. They are also active in France, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Spain and Luxembourg.

Join the international, in-house advisory team

The local companies are going through a digital transition. Some are already leaders in their local markets, others are just starting up their first webshop. That’s why they are now creating an in-house advisory team of 4 to 6 experts that will help local teams with their e-commerce and digital marketing initiatives.

This team’s responsibilities will range from making a country-specific eCommerce strategy, to providing advice on topics like local team setup and bridging the gap with the traditional sales organization. And include practical ecommerce topics like webshop search, UX design, KPI’s, email marketing, SEO & SEA, marketing automation, etc. As you can imagine this role will involve a lot of challenging pioneering work and a lot of freedom to operate.

Are you a seasoned change agent in digital transformations? Do you know how to advise the management with a great presentation, but also know that most of the hours are spent on the ground, meeting with people at all levels of the organisation? Please read on:

Your skill set?

  • You have a solid change management skill set and expertise in managing change, including planning, implementing, and monitoring the impact of change initiatives.

  • You are able to advise local companies on organisational/human change in digital, especially in their traditional sales and marketing departments.

  • You have a vision and approach on how to execute concrete digital transformation projects in a traditional organisation.

  • You have a customer-centric mindset and good business sense. Your solid understanding of business operations allows you to align digital strategies with organisational goals.

  • You are able to manage change with international stakeholders and know how to connect with people who are less digitally skilled than you are. You know how to explain digital sales processes and opportunities in a language that they can understand.

  • You are able to advise on C-level, and able to translate business strategy into concrete actions and milestones.

  • Your spoken and written English is excellent, as this will be your primary working language. Another European language, like Dutch, German or French is preferred.

  • You are able to organise and prioritise your own work and that of the team. Of course with the help of digital tools like Trello.

  • You have the persistence and enthusiasm to make sure projects reach a successful end result. You take it as a personal responsibility to deliver good work, on time.

  • You are a real team player who can motivate people, but who is not afraid to challenge them either. You know how to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, sales, and operations, to implement new digital strategies.

  • You are proactive and independent: your experience allows you to drive processes forward and take on challenges independently.

What are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of experience in a role as e-commerce manager, consultant or change consultant at an agency or client side. You’re excited about using this experience to take a traditional industry giant to the next level.

  • Positive, active vibe. “Yes” is your favourite word and your enthusiasm is infectious.

  • Proactive, self-starter, communicative and solution-oriented (we know, standard request, but not a standard characteristic).

  • You function well in a team and love to work together with others to achieve a better end result.

  • You are just as driven as the rest of the team. You have an entrepreneurial side and aren’t afraid to show it.

What they offer?

  • 32-40 hours/week

  • Competitive salary. A one-year contract followed by a permanent contract if you are both happy with the collaboration.

  • Lots of room for initiative, personal growth, freedom and responsibility.

  • They will give you the tools to work the way you want, with a Macbook, iPhone, and a 4K screen at your sit-stand desk in the Utrecht office.

  • An employee discount on products they sell in The Netherlands.

  • You will have a Dutch employment contract with a good pension scheme. This contract includes “ADV” days when you work full time, meaning you get 12 extra vacation days on top of the standard 25.

  • This company has existed for over 100 years, is financially healthy and has a long term strategy. Good to know in these times of uncertainty and when start-ups are appearing and disappearing every other month.

  • Regular travel: please keep in mind that due to the international character of your role you will need to travel within Europe regularly.

Location

Main location: their modern office near Utrecht Central Station with the best possible view of the city centre.
