Europe’s leading technical wholesaler
This company is the parent company for multiple technical wholesalers in Europe. As the European market leader in solar, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, they are playing an essential role in the energy transition all across the continent. However, while they keep their eye on the future and continuously expand their services, they are still a family-owned company and have been around for over 100 years. They have subsidiaries in Germany, Austria, Norway, Poland and Belgium. They are also active in France, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Spain and Luxembourg.
Join the international, in-house advisory team?
The local companies are going through a digital transition. Some are already leaders in their local markets, others are just starting up their first webshop. That’s why they are now creating an in-house advisory team of 4 to 6 experts that will help local teams with their e-commerce and digital marketing initiatives.
This team’s responsibilities will range from making a country-specific eCommerce strategy, to providing advice on topics like local team setup and bridging the gap with the traditional sales organisation. And include practical ecommerce topics like webshop search, UX design, KPI’s, email marketing, SEO & SEA, marketing automation, etc. As you can imagine this role will involve a lot of challenging pioneering work and a lot of freedom to operate.
Are you an experienced eCommerce manager or consultant and would you love to take on a challenge? Please read on:
Your skill set?
You are a seasoned and passionate eCommerce manager. You don’t mind getting your hands dirty on the practical side, but also love to oversee and steer strategic change processes.
You have broad experience in both eCommerce and performance marketing and leading a team in this field.
Able to advise on C-level. Give strategic and conceptual advice: e-commerce strategy, team setup, setting OKRs/KPIs. Able to translate business strategy into concrete actions and milestones.
Give tactical and practical advice: webshop search (900K+ products), software advice, UX design, email marketing, SEO & SEA, data driven marketing, etc.
Able to coach local leaders on the change process. For example the collaboration of traditional sales teams with ecommerce and digital marketing teams.
You are a strong communicator and are able to manage change with international colleagues. You also know how to connect with people who are less digitally skilled than you are, and you know how to explain digital opportunities in a language that they can understand.
Your spoken and written English is excellent, as this will be your primary working language. Another European language, like Dutch, German or French is preferred.
You are able to organize and prioritize your own work and that of the team, using digital tools like Trello.
You have the persistence and enthusiasm to make sure projects reach a successful end result. You take it as a personal responsibility to deliver good work, on time.
You are proactive and independent. Your experience allows you to see opportunities and improve the way the team works. When everything is good, you want to make it great.
What are we looking for?
10+ years of experience in a role as e-commerce manager or consultant at an agency or client side. You’re excited about using this experience to take a traditional industry giant to the next level.
Positive, active vibe. “Yes” is your favourite word and your enthusiasm is infectious.
Proactive, self-starter, communicative and solution-oriented (we know, standard request, but not a standard characteristic).
You care about your colleagues and want what’s best for them. Being on your team is a privilege because you make an effort to understand and support your people. You are a real team player who can motivate people, but who will also challenge them to improve and grow.
You are just as driven as the rest of the team. You have an entrepreneurial side and aren’t afraid to show it.
